Rendered in an iconic Lilli Ann silhouette, this original early 1950's jacket, in a trio of shades of sage green, yellow and grey, in a worsted wool silk, is the perfect piece to add to your tailored vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a pointed lapel collar. The sloping shoulder line, is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, which set off the incredible zig zag pleats along either side of the neckline and along the bust-line. The dull length inset sleeves, are edged with slim turned up cuffs with central back vents. The fitted bodice, boasts a double breasted cut, which draws in centrally with 3 matching silk covered buttons. The cinched in waistline, is accented by tailored seams, which run along the length of the jacket, setting off the full peplum cut, which showcases 14 panels along the hemline. Finished with an iridescent yellow rayon lining.

Condition: This jacket is in good vintage condition, but not perfect. There is a small grey mark along the top of the left hand side sleeve along the external side. Two very light age marks along the right hand side front of the collar, these are well concealed within the silk woven thread and only apparent under very close inspection. Wear to the lining along each internal armpit sleeve area, this has thinned internally along the top of the internal sleeves and show wear marks along the internal armpit areas, which include staining around the armpit lining. Slight pulling to the seams along the internal lining. These minor issues are not apparent when the jacket is being worn, and only noticeable under close inspection.
