This wonderful 1940's knitted waistcoat, embellished with brown wool trailing floral embroidery and finished with gold toned brass studs, is just the piece to layer with this season.
The deep V shaped neckline is framed by a border of moss stitches that frame the front edges of the waistcoat.The simple shoulder line is accented by small gathered peats along each shoulder seam, which draw the eye to the sleeveless cut, edged with moss stitches to match those along the neckline. The wide armholes, frame the fitted bodice and cinched in waistline, which is accented by three button and loop fastenings and ribbed stitching. Finished with a simple hemline, this magnificent piece is sure to be a favourite in your knitwear collection.

Condition: This cardigan is in near perfect vintage condition. There is a very light age mark along the right hand side hemline towards the central edges. A very light age mark along the back of the bodice. These minor details are not apparent when the waistcoat is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
