This breathtaking 1930's crepe silk gown rendered in the warmest shade of blush pink, accented by draped waterfall pleats and the most figure flattering bias cut, is a rare piece to behold.
The soft V shaped neckline, is framed by medium width shoulder straps, which are embellished with draped and pleated crepe silk panels, which are sewn in a waterfall like display along either side of the front of the bodice. The sleeveless cut, sets off the fitted cut bodice, which is accented by a pointed central seam below the bust-line. The bias cut of the gown skims the silhouette, to join the asymmetrical seams of the lower part of skirt line, where crepe silk joins in gathered pleats, creating a fishtail design hemline. The back of the gown is accented by a deep V shaped backline, which is framed by a panel of crepe silk which gathers and pleats in waterfall pleats, drawing the eye to the double pointed seams along the back of the waistline. Finished with asymmetrical seam work along the bias cut skirt-line and a raised rounded seam to finish off the fishtail designed hemline, completing this gown in a timeless and iconic 1930's silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens along the side with 3 press studs and a hook and eye
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A few very light and minor impression marks to the crepe silk along the front of the skirt line. These are only apparent under very close inspection and not visible when the dress is being worn. A very small age mark along the back of the skirt line along the rounded seam to the base of the skirt-line. There are four sympathetic darns along the back pleated area of the skirt line. These have been done sympathetically and are well concealed by the drape and pleats of the crepe silk. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. This dress has been priced accordingly.
