This truly captivating 1930's ice blue plissé silk jacket, decorated with a border of silk velvet flower appliqués, finished with cream knot stitches, is just the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.
The rounded neckline is framed by a slim Peter Pan collar which draws in centrally beneath a concealed hook and eye and stylised silk bow. The simple shoulder line, is accented by a curved border of silk velvet floral appliqués along each side of the yokes. The mid length sleeves, boast gathered smocking stitches along each cuff, which create soft pleats whilst setting off the silk velvet floral appliqués along the external side. The elegant wide cut of the jacket, completes this piece in a timeless and iconic design. This garment is sheer.

Closures: This jacket fastens with a conceal press stud.
Condition: This jacket is in well loved vintage condition and has been priced accordingly. There is a mend along the front right hand side of the jacket below the floral appliqués, this appears as a concealed seam. A small darn to the silk along the back right hand side of the jacket. The floral appliqués show signs of wear and thread lifting, in some areas the petals have started to come away. A small darn along the front of the right hand side cuff, alongside two seam mends.A pin sized age mark along the bottom right hand side hemline towards the side seam. The front left hand side of the jacket has been mended to conceal holes. There is a small bright pink impression mark along the back right hand side hemline. A few minor scattered pin holes throughout. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection.
