A rare piece to behold. This original late 1960's Louis Feraud beige silk chiffon jacket, embellished with pearlescent glass bugle beads, cream silk embroidery, iridescent clear glass beads, pearlescent turquoise beads and pearlescent beads, in an intricate floral design, accented with beaded strands, is the perfect statement piece to your wardrobe.
The Mandarin style collar features two triangular points along the front of the neckline, and draws in centrally with a silk chiffon loop and faceted plastic bead. The collar is intricately embellished with delicate beadwork, and is finished with an iridescent beaded border, from which beaded tassel strands are suspended along the front of the neckline, shoulders, and nape. Each strand is accented by bugle beads and pearlescent beads. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, which are edged with angled cuffs, which are in turn embellished with a scalloped beaded design, creating the illusion of a scalloped cuff. The sleeves are embellished with trailing floral designs, accented by turquoise beadwork and detailed beaded frame designs. The longline straight cut of the jacket features two concealed hook and eye fastenings, below the décolletage which draw in each side, whilst setting off the triangular designs along the hemline, which feature scalloped beadwork to match those along the cuffs, creating the illusion of a pointed and scalloped hemline. The key-hole feature along the bust-line completes this piece in a truly magnificent design, drawing the eye to the intricate beadwork. This jacket is fully lined in silk chiffon.

Condition: This jacket is in perfect vintage condition. With light and natural bead loss, which is in no way apparent and very minor. There are two small areas of wear to the silk chiffon lining, these have been sympathetically darned. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
