Rendered in the darkest shade of black crepe silk, with a brightly coloured watercolour style floral pattern of wild flowers and tulips, this original 1940's tiered gown, is sure to be a favourite in your seasonal collection.
The rounded neckline, is framed by a simple shoulder line and short length sleeves. The fitted bodice, is accented by double tailored darts along each side of the bust-line, setting off the fit, whilst drawing the eye to the cinched in waistline. The bodice is decorated with iridescent sequins and beads along some of the floral print to the left hand side of the bodice and along the central part of the back of the bodice. The fitted waistline, sets off the wonderful triple tiered design of the skirt-line, with the first tier boasting trailing sequin embellishments along the front left hand side. The second and final tiers of the skirt-line are constructed with conceal black rayon beneath each tier, adding internal structure which enables the crepe silk to drape in subtle pleats along the length of the dress.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure your favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. WH
