A breath of the first signs of spring. This original 1960's gown, rendered in the most beautiful shade of muted duck egg blue silk chiffon, embellished with aqua blue glass beads and white sequins in the shape of flowers and leaves, is just the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.
The bateau cut neckline, is accented by slim shoulder joins, which set off the elegant fitted bodice. the bodice is embellished with intricate floral beadwork. The fitted waistline, which is accented by a piped edge in matching silk chiffon, sets off the elegant full circle drape of the silk chiffon overlay, which sits above a crepe silk grey lining. Finished with a cotton lined bodice, and a central back zip, completing this dress in an iconic 1960's silhouette and design.

Closures: This dress fastens along the back with two hook and eyes and a 19 inch metal zip.
Condition: This dress is good but not perfect vintage condition. Natural and light beadwork loss along the embellished bodice. There is a mend to the silk chiffon along the front of the right hand side armhole. This has ben sympathetically mended and is concealed by beadwork. Very gentle yellowing along the edges of the armholes. The silk chiffon skirt shows signs of wear, with colour variation and age marks throughout. Notably an area of a larger age mark along the front left hand side of the skirt-line. The hemline shows signs of wear and gentle age marks with two areas of small mends along the edges of the hem. The crepe silk lining has a few scattered age marks. These minor imperfections are not overly apparent when the dress is being worn as they are well concealed within the drape of the silk chiffon and movement of the piece. This piece is not perfect and has been priced accordingly. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
