Rendered in the softest of cream satins set against a nude tulle which is in turn embellished with trailing pearlescent beads, silver bugle beads, silver claw set rhinestones, silver sequins and iridescent ivory sequins, this intricately designed late 1960's cocktail is just the piece for that special occasion.
The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a border of beadwork, comprised of silver bugle beads and silver glass beads surrounding silver claw set rhinestones. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length tulle inset sleeves, which are edged with decorated cuffs to match the neckline and finished with small side vents with concealed press stud fastenings. Each sleeve is intricately decorated with trailing beading work and sequins in a floral pattern. The elegant fitted bodice, which is decorated in trailing floral beadwork, boasts an asymmetrical design, which is set off my the cream satin, sewn in place diagonally across the bust-line and bodice, joining the right hand side of the waistline in wide radiating pleats, which extend along the base of the bodice, waistline and top of the hipline. The cut of the dress, is accented by the top layer of satin, which has been sewn into place above a simple skirt-line, creating the illusion of a cross over skirt. The satin is lined in silk between the layers, adding to the structure and design of this piece. Finished with a simple central back vent along the hemline and lined in cream nylon, this truly mesmerising this cocktail dress showcases the craftsmanship and design of the era.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There is a gentle loss of beadwork which is to be expected of a piece this age. This is not apparent. A few very gentle scuff marks along the satin skirt . Two very small age marks along the top of the left hand side of the bust-line ( along the satin) these are minor and only apparent under very close inspection. Two pin sized age marks along the left hand side of the hemline. Two small linear age marks along the back left hand side of the hem.These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection.
