This 1950's lambswool and Angora mix cream cardigan, embellished with trailing two tone green leaf embroidery and set off by iridescent beaded floral details finished with pearl beaded centres, is the perfect piece to keep away the chill.
The rounded neckline is framed by a slim ribbed knit border, which is embellished with trailing embroidery and beadwork, accented by central hook and eye fastenings which are positioned beneath decorative iridescent floral beadwork along either side of the front. The shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length inset sleeves, which are embellished with trailing embroidery and beadwork along each external side of the ribbed cuffs. The elegant cut, is accented by trailing embroidery and beadwork along either side of the central fastenings, joining the ribbed hemline in matching trailing embroidery. This cardigan is un lined.

Condition: This cardigan is in near perfect vintage condition. A small pin sized age mark along the external side of the right hand side sleeve, 8 inches up from the cuff. A small scattering of pin sized age marks along the back top of the right hand side sleeve. Three scattered pin sized age marks along the external side of the left hand side sleeve . Two larger pin sized age marks along the back of the left hand side sleeve near the shoulder seam. These minor flaws are not apparent when the cardigan is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please do refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
