A true masterpiece of its time, this original 1940's deep red wine coloured skirt suit, is the perfect addition to your tailored vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket is framed by elegantly pointed notched lapels. The slopping shoulder line, is accented by single Princess seams which run along either side of the front of the bodice. The internally sewn shoulder pads along each shoulder seam set off the full length inset sleeves. The fitted cut of the jacket, draws in along the waistline, setting off the pocket features, which boast three decorative tiers in an Art Deco square design, finished with single decorative buttons along each top tier. Finished with matching red and gold thread button fastenings along the centre front of the jacket, accenting the silhouette and longline cut. The matching skirt, sits perfectly beneath the jacket and features a simple matching waistline. The straight line silhouette of the skirt is finished with a central vent along the front of the hemline. This suit is lined in burgundy rayon along the inside of the jacket.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. AB
