This beautifully tailored 1940's Gene Shelly navy blue silk jacket, with detailed roman numerals, is the perfect piece for your statement vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a slim pointed collar, which sets off the elegant shoulder line, accented by internally sewn shoulder pads. The 3/4 length inset sleeves, are framed by pointed turned up cuffs. The elegant fitted cut of the jacket, is accented by a cream panel which runs along the top of the bust-line and is decorated with navy blue roman numeral appliqués, accented centrally by a matching silk bow, concealing a press stud fastening.The fitted waistline is framed by double tailored darts which run along either side of the front of the jacket, drawing the eye to the front pockets positioned above the hemline. This jacket is fully lined in cream silk .

Condition: This jacket is in near perfect condition. An area of light colour variation to the navy blue silk along the front left hand side hemline. The cream silk lining of the jacket has signs of wear and age marks along the internal armpits. A few small pin holes scattered along the internal silk lining. A few small scattered age marks along the internal silk lining. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection.
