A masterpiece to behold. This original 1930's silk brocade coat in the most sumptuous shade of Imperial magenta, depicting a pattern of blooming native flowers and wild peacocks in shades of gold, pink, blue, cream, lilac, purple and red with gold lamé thread accents, is a rare piece to behold.
The rounded neckline is framed by a pointed collar. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves. The fitted bodice, is accented by a central pointed seam below the bust-line, which meets in a point centrally along the matching covered button and lamé thread loop fastenings. The elegant skirt-line boasts a gentle flared cut and showcases the 30 button fastenings along the length of the coat. This coat is fully lined in cream silk.

Condition: This coat is in perfect condition, with a small mend along the internal part of the silk lining, where this appears to have been accidentally cut. Light and gentle wear to the silk lining . These minor details are in no way apparent when the coat is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection.
