This wonderful 1950's cotton dress in a wonderful shade of stone, and embellished with trailing soutache embroidery in a matching shade of stone, accented by silver lurex threads, in a trailing floral design, is the perfect piece for your seasonal wardrobe.
The elegant V shaped neckline is framed by a wide shawl collar, which draws in along the front beneath a decorative tab, from which pleats radiate along each side. The simple shoulder line, sets off the short capped sleeved. The fitted bodice of the dress, is accented by tailored darts along the front of the bodice, which draw the eye to the cinched in waistline. The elegant line of the skirt, is accented by small pleats along either side of the front of the waist seam and tailored darts along the back of the dress, competing this dress in a timeless and iconic silhouette.

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. An age mark along the front left hand side of the bust-line beneath the edges of the collar. Very gentle yellowing along the armpit areas. Very gentle age marks along the back of the dress just below the waist seam. Scattered age marks along the back of the skirt. Internal age marks along the lining of the nape. These age marks are not overly apparent when the dress is being worn, but are visible upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
