This rare and decadent 1940's wool felt tam hat, in a sumptuous shade of royal blue, is just the perfect finishing touch to your seasonal wardrobe.

The iconic tam style, boasts a moulded wide brim, in a beret design and a flat top. The wool felt is embellished with tonal blue soutache embroidery, in a detailed geometric design, which in turn is accented by navy blue metal studs, creating a floral and geometrical pattern to the royal blue wool felt base. Finished with an internal faille ribbon band and a small piece of elastic to facilitate putting the hat on, every last detail of this hat showcases the incredible millinery work of the era.

Condition: This tam hat is in perfect vintage condition, a few very small areas of lifting to the soutache embroidery. Light and gentle surface wear to some of the metal studs wear the paint finish has slightly worn away. These minor details are in no way apparent when the hat is being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
