This truly darling 1950's dress, in the softest shade of tawny brown cotton, decorated with cream soutache embroidery, which is in term embellished with claw set pearls and rhinestones, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.
The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a wide rounded collar, which is embellished with trailing cream soutache embroidery in a floral design, accented by claw set pearls and silver rhinestones. The collar conceals the wide shoulder straps and draws in along the top of the backline beneath a stylised bow with press stud fastenings, creating a key hole design feature along the back of the dress. The fitted bodice of the dress is accented by tailored seams that set off the cinched in waistline, and simple straight cut of the skirt. Finished with a central kick pleat along the central back of the hemline.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There are some areas of colour variation to the tawny cotton along the front of the bodice and skirt line, these appear as a slightly lighter shade of tawny brown. This is only apparent in certain lights and does not detract from the beauty of this piece. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
