This spectacular 1970's sky blue cotton voile dress, accented by a pattern of clusters of flowers in vibrant shades of yellow, pink, orange, white and green, constructed with the most incredible and mesmerising design is a rare piece to behold and a firm favourite here.
The cross-over V shaped neckline is framed by a rolled cotton edge, which sets off the delicate quilted stitch detail panels along each side of the shoulder lines and yokes, this is continued along the nape of the dress in a rounded panel. The elegant shoulder line, sets off the full length sleeves, which boast small gathered pleats along the top of each shoulder seam, creating a gentle puffed detail, contrasting the fitted cut of the top of the sleeves, which drape into wonderfully wide balloon cuts, which draw in along the rolled edge cuff with a simple button and loop. The fitted bodice, boasts a cross over design along the décolletage, which draws the eye to the fitted waist-panel. The waist is accented by a matching fabric ribbon tie, which can be worn tied to the front or the the back of the dress. The elegant line of the skirt, is accented by gathered pleats that drape from the waist-panel along the length of the dress. This dress is lined in cream rayon along the skirt and a second layer of cotton along the bodice.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect condition. Very gentle yellowing to the cotton along the armpits, this is very minor and only apparent under very close inspection. A cluster of small pin holes along the left hand side shoulder line where the quilted details are positioned. A small internal darn along the left hand side of the neckline ( not apparent externally) Gentle colour variation along the back quilted panel of the dress along the nape. Two small age marks along the back of the skirt-lie ( these are well concealed within the pleated drape and very faint ) A very small age mark along the front of the skirt, these is minor and well concealed within the drape. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn and are well concealed within the drape of the dress. Fastenings: This dress fastens with a single hook and loop along the neckline and a 23 inch metal zip along the back of the bodice.
