This truly mesmerising 1940's cream silk blouse, embellished with pearlescent glass rocaille beads, pearlised plastic beads, silver claw set rhinestones and silver glass bugles beads, is a rare piece to behold.
The rounded neckline of the blouse is framed by beaded embellishments, that contour the diamond shaped keyhole design along the centre front. The simple shoulder line is accented by tailored pleats along each yoke, that radiate along the bodice, joining the darts along the front to the cinched in waistline. The short length sleeves frame the iconic and timeless cut. Finished with button fastenings along the centre back of the blouse, this piece truly showcases the design and craftsmanship of the era.

Closures: This blouse fastens at the back with 5 buttons and a press stud along the nape.
Condition: This blouse is in near perfect vintage condition. A very small pinhole to the left hand side of the bust-line. A very light age mark to the centre front just beneath the waistline . Very light yellowing and glue marks to the internal side of the blouse behind the keyhole design. Very light impression marks to the silk along the back of the blouse. These minor details are in no way apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only apparent under close inspection.
