Rendered in a warm shade of Sienna, this original late 1930's vintage crepe silk dress, accented by detailed tuck pleats, is the perfect piece to add to your seasonal collection.
The rounded neckline is framed by a raised panel collar, which draws in centrally in a decorative bow, creating a key hole feature along the front of the neckline. The simple shoulder line, draws the eye to the full length inset sleeves, which boast small gathered pleats along each shoulder seam. The sleeves are accented by tailored darts along each elbow allowing for ease of movement, whilst the cuffs draw in with matching covered button and loop fastenings. Each cuff is embellished with sewn tuck pleats which radiate upwards along each sleeve. The elegant silhouette of the bodice, draws in along the waistline, with a matching crepe silk belt. The bodice is decorated with sewn tuck pleats and is finished with two mock pockets along either side of the yokes. The elegant straight cut skirt-line is accented by radiating tucked pleated which run along the length of either side of the front of the skirt and at a shorter length along the centre front and backline of the dress.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect condition. The matching belt shows signs of wear along the buckle and underside of the belt. The buckle area seems to have been repaired at some point and a loop has been added to the belt.These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
Fastenings: This dress fastens along the side seam with a 9 inch metal zip and along the front of the neckline with a bow.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
