This truly captivating 1940's black rayon jacket, embellished with a pattern of sequin scattered flowers and leaves in shades of purple, green, gold, pink and blue, is just the perfect statement piece to add to your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket draws together along the waistline with a simple hook and loop fastening. The simple shoulder line, sets off the short length inset sleeves, which boast single pleats along the top of each sleeve, creating a subtle puffed design.
The simple silhouette is accented by tailored darts which run from below the bust-line and join either side of the front hemline. The back of the jacket features a central inverted pleat which accents the waistline, completing this jacket in an iconic 1940's silhouette.

Condition: This jacket is in good but not perfect condition. Some of the gelatine sequins have lost their shine and lustre. A small area of wear to the rayon along the front of the left hand side sleeve just above the cuff. Gentle wear to the rayon along the left hand side sleeve where some of the threads are ever so slightly lifting. A few darns along the armpit of the right hand side sleeve. These have been done sympathetically and appear to have been concealed by a sequin motif. A few small darns along the back of the shoulder line, again these have been well concealed by sequin patterns. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs as these form part of the product description
