Rendered in the most exquisite stone coloured satin and embellished with silver glass bugle beads, pearlescent beads, iridescent sequins, and silk velvet, depicting a wild and blooming trailing floral pattern, this original 1950's couture dress is a rare piece to behold and will be a favourite in your vintage collection.
The strapless neckline of the dress, is set off by a soft sweetheart neckline, and a fitted and boned bodice. The cinched in waistline, which draws in internally with a faille waistband and hook and eye, sets off the mesmerising near full circle cut of the skirt, which is embellished with the most magical beaded and silk velvet accented flowers, creating a floral scape that only your imagination could create. The dress is fully lined in silk taffeta, and has been photographed here with a medium petticoat for added volume, this is not included within the listing.

Closures: This dress fastens at the back with a 12.5 inch metal zip and and a hook and eye, a hook in eye internally along the back of the waistline
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There are surface scratches are gentle areas of wear to the satin throughout, this includes small pin holes. Wear to the satin edges along the top of the décolletage. A very faint age mark along the centre front of the dress just below the waistline, this is incredibly faint and only apparent under close inspection. Light signs of wear to the satin finish along the waist seams. A small mend to the satin along the back right hand side of the zip. A few very small and light age marks along the centre back of the hemline, these are only apparent upon close inspection. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
