Rendered in the softest shade of sage green satin, this original 1940's vintage evening gown, is just the piece to add to your special occasion wardrobe.
The softly rounded sweetheart neckline is framed by a piped edge from which satin is pleated in a border feature along the top of the bodice. The simple slim satin shoulder straps, set off the sleeveless cut. The fitted and boned bodice, is accented by tailored seams along either side of the front, which draw the eye to the pointed piped waist detail. The elegant skirt, drapes from gathered pleats along the piped waistband and is finished with a gathered and pleated lower bustle along the back of the skirt-line. This dress in unlined

Measurements Of The Dress
Armpit to Armpit: up to 34 inches

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. A small pin sized dot along the centre front of the bodice and a very lightly coloured small age mark just beneath it. There are surface scratches to the rayon satin throughout. Very light colour variation to the rayon satin along the hemline. A few very gentle age marks scattered along the skirt-line, these are well concealed by the drape of the rayon satin and the pleats. Light impression marks to the rayon satin along the back of the bodice.These minor issues are not overly apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
Fastenings: This dress fastens along the side seam with a 12 inch metal zip and a hook and eye.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
Fabric:Rayon satin, boning, internal cotton tulle along the internal area of the décolletage and behind the bustle.
