Rendered in a lustrous black velvet and accented by a cream cotton décolletage and statement silver rhinestone buttons, this original 1950's dress is sure to be a favourite in your seasonal collection.
The rounded neckline, rendered in the form of a cream cotton bib insert, is framed by a pointed turned down collar which draws in centrally with a concealed press stud. The bib insert, fastens along the edges of the velvet with concealed press studs and is accented by tailored box pleats which frame the statement silver rhinestone buttons, which conceal press stud fastenings. The simple shoulder line of the dress, sets off the 3/4 length inset sleeves. The fitted black velvet bodice, is set off by tailored darts along either side of the bustling, and a cinched in waistline, which is drawn in by a matching velvet belt. The full circle cut of the skirt line, completes this dress in an iconic 1950's fit and flare silhouette. This dress has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume, this is not included within the listing.

Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure your favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed.
