This truly magnificent 1950's ice blue coloured cardigan, rendered in a jersey knit and edged with pale blue Angora and lurex knitted accents, set off by decadent rhinestone embellished butterfly appliqués, is a rare piece to behold.
The rounded neckline of the cardigan, is framed by a ribbed pointed collar, rendered in a soft Angora and lurex knit. The simple shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length sleeves. The elegant edge to edge cut, is accented by tailored darts along either side of the bust-line and Angora and lurex knitted edgings along the centre front and hemline. Finished with trailing embroidery in soft shades of bronze and pale blue, depicting stems and leaves, upon which embroidered and claw set rhinestone embellished butterflies are affixed. This cardigan is fully lined in crepe silk.
