The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by delicate silk velvet ruffles which scallop and undulate along each yoke, creating the illusion of soft sleeves, whilst joining the velvet strand shoulder straps, which join the backline in a crossover racer back design. The neckline of the dress is threaded along the neckline strand, creating gathers pleats along the bust-line. The fitted bodice of the dress, draws the eye to the cinched in waistline, and elegant line of the skirt, which boasts a central slit creating a gentle flare to the silhouette of the dress. The elegant racer back-line of the dress is contrasted with a soft rounded train along the back of the hemline.
The matching jacket boasts a high rounded neckline, which draws together centrally with a faceted glass button and loop. The simple shoulder line, is set off by delicate seams along each yoke, from which gathered pleats radiate along the bust-line. The full length inset sleeves, frame the fitted cut of the jacket, which boasts central glass button and loop fastenings and pointed edges along the front of each side of the jacket. Finished with a curved and pointed seam along the shoulder blades, this incredible ensemble is sure to be a show-stopper at any event.

Condition: This dress is in good vintage condition, with light and natural impressions to the silk velvet, this is to be expected of a velvet dress. A mend to the seam below the left hand side of the bust-line. Some light areas of gentle wear to the velvet pile along the neckline ruffles.
