A botanical beauty. This original 1970's set by Catherine Carr, rendered in a black velvet, and accented by rayon appliqués and trims, is the perfect ensemble to add to your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket is framed by a pointed notched collar, which is edged with cream faille pipping. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves. The elegant line of the jacket, draws in along the centre with matching black velvet buttons, which set off the straight line cut.
The matching skirt, boasts a simple fitted waistband, from which gathered pleats along either side of the front of the waistline drape along the A line cut of the skirt. The hemline of the skirt is decorated with a border of two cream faille ribbons, from which faille tulip appliqués, accented by detailed folds, appear to be blooming.
