A marvel to behold. This original 1950's silk pleated dress with velvet and tulle accents, is the perfect piece for that special occasion.
The straight cut neckline is accented by a velvet halter strap, which sets off the eye-catching black and pale pink layered tulle along the top of the bodice and décolletage. The tulle draws the eye to the pleated silk design along the top of the bodice, which folds down slightly to set off the layered tulle. The fitted and boned bodice draws the eye to the cinched in waistline. The elegant A line cut of the skirt-line is finished with a wide pleated silk hemline, completing this dress in a truly iconic silhouette. The dress is constructed with sewn silk pleats, which are in turned accented by a checkered diamond pattern of sewn ribbon strands. This dress is fully lined in pink rayon along the bodice and un-lined alone the skirt.
