Rendered in the most vibrant floral pattern, with blooming red flowers set against green foliage and a cream base, this original 1950's silk cocktail dress, is just the piece for that special occasion.
The straight cut neckline of the dress is framed by double slim shoulder straps, which join together within delicate knots along the top of each shoulder line, setting off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice of the dress, is accented by a side seam along the left hand side, from which the silk pleats and radiates along the right hand side of the bodice. The cinched in waistline, is accented by a stylised bow along the left hand side, which is lined in tulle and features two tiers, creating a statement side sash design along the base of the waistline and top of the hipline. The petal cut of the skirt-line, features a wrap design which follows the line of the seam along the left hand side of the bodice, in an elegant draped and pleated overlay cut, accented by the gathered pleats along the base of the stylised side sash. The curved hemline of the wrapped layer of the skirt, sits above a tailored internal skirt, which features a curved hemline, completing the tulip cut skirt-line of the dress. The dress is lined in an ivory rayon.
