A classic silhouette rendered in a stunning pleasant plum wool, this 1940's tailored three piece skirt suit is the perfect addition to your vintage wardrobe.
The rounded neckline of the jacket is framed by a pointed collar. The structured shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads and single pleats along each yoke. The full length sleeves, are edged with turned up cuffs. The elegant swing cut of the jacket, boasts large statement button fastenings, which are accented by pink toned stitches. Finished with pockets along either side of the front of the jacket. The jacket is fully lined in faille silk.
The V shaped neckline of the waistcoat, is framed by a sleeveless cut and simple shoulder line set off by internally sewn shoulder pads. The fitted bodice, is accented by tailored darts, which frame the central button fastenings, which are set off by pink toned stitches. The fitted waistline sets off the slightly flared hemline. The waistcoat is fully lined in faille silk.
The matching skirt features a silk panel below the waistline, which would be concealed by the waistcoat when worn. The simple panelled cut of the skirt, completes the silhouette in a slight A line design, finishing this truly marvellous suit in an iconic 1940's design. The skirt is not lined.
