This rare 1960's Christian Dior mid-season red wool coat, is a rare piece to behold and the perfect statement piece for your transitional wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the coat is framed by a wide pointed collar, which sets off the double breasted cut of the coat that crosses over along the left hand side of the base of the neckline. The elegant sloped shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length wide dolman sleeves. The wide box cut of the coat is set off by tailored Princess seams which descent along the length and frame the double breasted cut which is accented by large matching red buttons. The Princess seams boast front pockets along the hipline ti each side of the front of the coat. Finished with kick pleats to either side of the fronts of the hemline and lined in red rayon, this truly incredible coat showcases the craftsmanship and design of Christian Dior during the 1960's.

Condition: This coat is in near perfect vintage condition.
There are fading marks related to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight along the shoulders and top of the sleeves along the right hand side, this is also apparent along the right hand side seam beneath the sleeve. A small pin sized hole beneath the last mock button along the right hand side of the coat. A small ink mark along the right hand side front just above the hemline. A small scattered of linear black marks along the back right hand side of the coat next to the side seam. A small mend to the lining along the internal right hand side armpit and one along the left hand side armpit. Light and natural colour variation to the rayon lining. The internal button along the lining is missing, this could be easily replaced. These minor details are in no way apparent when the coat is being worn, and are only noticeable under close inspection. Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
