Rendered in the brightest palette of greens with turquoise blue and cream accents in a bold flower and leaf pattern, this original vintage 1960's chiffon dress and coat ensemble, is the perfect set to add versatility to your vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is framed by wide shoulder straps which boast pleats along each shoulder seam that radiate along either side of the bust-line. The fitted bodice, is accented by a central panel, which contours the bust-line and draws the eye to the cinched in waistline. The elegant skirt-line drapes from gathered pleats along the waistline, accenting the drape of the full circle cut of the chiffon overlay. The dress is fully lined in lime green rayon.
The matching sheer chiffon coat, boasts a V shaped neckline set off by a soft shawl collar which draws in along the front of the neckline in a stylised bow or knot. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length sleeves which are edged with turned up cuffs and delicate chiffon covered cuff-links. The swing cut of the coat, sits perfectly above the dress, completing this ensemble in a timeless and iconic 1960's silhouette.

Condition: The dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A small darn along the back right hand side of the waistline next to the zip fastening along the waist seam. The coat has a few very small pin sized age marks, these are incredibly well concealed by the bold floral pattern and only apparent under very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
Fastenings: This dress fastens along the back with 2 hook and loops along the back of the zip, a hook and loop along the nape and a 21 inch plastic zip. The coat fastens with a bow along the front of the neckline .
