Rendered in the most delightful shade of navy blue crepe silk, this original 1940's dress, accented by a cross over feature and button fastenings along the length of the back of the dress, is just the piece for your every day wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the dress, is accented by a cross over-designed bodice, which begins in pleats to either side of the décolletage, crossing over internally and threading back externally, to join either side of the front of the waistline in sewn box pleats. The elegant shoulder line, sets off the short length sleeves which feature rectangular tabs, upon which double button fastenings can be found. The fitted waistline, is accented by the pleated cross over features. The skirt-line features front pockets along either side of the hipline, which accent the straight cut of the skirt. Finishing with button fastenings along the length of the back of the dress, this piece showcases the iconic silhouette of the era.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition with a small seam mend along the right hand side armpit to the seams. A small pin sized impression mark to the crepe silk along the back left hand side shoulder blade.These minor imperfections are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
