A marvel to behold, this original 1960's Hostess set, constructed as play suit with high waisted shorts, upon which tabard panels drape along the front and back, creating the illusion of a column cocktail dress.
The V shaped neckline is framed by ivory satin pleated frills that join the nape. The elegant shoulder line sets off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bust-line is accented by an empire line cut, which boasts an ivory satin trim, that sets off the gathered pleats that radiate upwards from the seam and across the bust. The tabard cut panels drape from below the satin panels along the front and back, and are lined in ivory satin and edged in satin along the hemlines. The high rise black shorts concealed beneath the tabard panels, complete this number in an iconic 1960's hostess design.

Condition: This hostess ensemble is in near perfect vintage condition. A few pin sized age marks along the satin frill around the neckline. A few small pin sized age marks to the satin band beneath the bust-line and a few small and gentle pulls to the satin. A scattering of age marks to the internal satin panels of the tabard, as these are not external these are not apparent when the piece is being worn. Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
