Rendered in the most incredible ivory rayon satin, and finished with a delicate cream lace bolero, this magnificent 1930's gown, originally worn by Gladys Stahl on February 23rd 1935, is a true piece of fashion history.
The rounded neckline of the gown, is framed by mid-width shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice, is accented by a central pointed seam below the bust-line, which descends in triangular point below either side of the bust. The elegant line of the dress is cut on a slight bias and skims the silhouette, setting off the waistline whilst draping long the silhouette to finish in a gently flared hemline. The V shaped backline, boasts a matching central pointed seam.
The cream lace bolero, is edged with matching rayon piping to the dress and features and open cut neckline. The simple shoulder line sets off the short length puffed sleeves, which are lined in soft cotton tulle for added structure. The cropped length of the bolero, draws the eye to the elegant silhouette of the dress, completing this ensemble in a true 1930's design.
