This eye-catching mid 1950's ruby red basket handbag, accented by pearlescent lucite features, is the perfect statement piece and pop of colour to add to your vintage collection.
The envelope design of the handbag, is accented by a rounded lid which folds over the main body of the bag, joining the two beneath a lucite and gold toned metal twist lock clasp. The elegant chain and lucite shoulder strap joins either side of the bag with chain links joining pearlescent lucite tabs. The bag opens to a large central compartment lined in ivory vinyl, finished with a small zip lock pocket along the internal side.

Condition: In wonderful vintage condition. With some light and gentle surface wear to the gold toned metal finishings, light tarnishing to some of the metal hardware. Gentle and light surface scratches to the lucite features. Light and natural wear to the vinyl lining with a few small age marks and pen marks . Two small splits to the vinyl lining along the underside of the top of the bag near the join. These minor details are not apparent when the bag is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.
