This 1950's cashmere mix cardigan, rendered in the softest shade of lilac and embellished with pearlescent glass bugle beads, iridescent sequins and pearlescent beads in a bold blooming floral design, is the perfect piece to keep away the chill.
The rounded neckline is framed by a slim ribbed border, which is embellished with scattered sequins and beads. The shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length inset sleeves, which are embellished with a pattern of scattered sequins and beads, and finished with small trailing floral designs along each external side. The cuffs are finished with slim ribbed borders. The elegant cut, is accented by central pearlescent button fastenings, framed to either side by intricate trailing beaded floral designs, which are accented by pearl beaded droplets along the central part of the larger flowers and contoured by scattered iridescent sequins and beads. The back of the cardigan features a scattered floral beaded pattern and scattered sequins, completing this piece in a truly iconic and timeless design. This cardigan is lined in silk along the bodice and features a wide ribbed hemline.

Closures: This cardigan fastens down the centre front with 9 buttons
Condition: This cardigan is in near perfect vintage condition. A small mend to the cashmere along the back left hand side of the hemline . Two very small pin size mends along the back of the neckline along the left hand side . Light and natural bead and sequin loss which is to be expected and is in no way apparent when the cardigan is being worn. Very gentle yellowing along the armpits, again this is not apparent and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Light and gentle wear to the pearlescent finish along the buttons. All mends have been done sympathetically and are not apparent when the cardigan is being work. Please do refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
