"Ivory Plumage" Vintage 1930's Ivory Plumage Cape

This rare and opulent 1930's ivory coloured ostrich feather cape, is a piece to behold.

The amazing plumage of ivory toned ostrich feathers, envelope the neckline and shoulders in a plush plumage . Drawn together to the front, with soft matching ivory rayon ties, edged with stylised tassel folded ostrich feathers, setting off the densely adorned cape, with 7 tiers of ostrich feather trims. This cape is lined in cream rayon and showcases the beautiful craftsmanship of the era

Measurements of the Cape

Nape to Hem : 24 inches

Shoulder to Hem : up to 25 inches

Length of ties :up to 12 inches

Condition: In truly beautiful condition, with significant age marks to the cream rayon chiffon lining and silk chiffon ties to the front. Some light age related discolouration to the feathers with some light scattered age marks. Some loss of colour to the feathers along the nape, this appear slightly darker These minor issues are not overly apparent when the cape is being worn as the layers and softness of the feathers conceal the  imperfections.
