A beauty to behold, this original vintage 1940's ballerina pink silk blouse, embellished with trailing hand painted flowers, in muted shades of green, blue, yellow, pink and green, is the perfect piece for adding to your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a simple shoulder line, accented by internally sewn shoulder pads which set off the wide short length sleeves. Each shoulder seam is accented by triple pleats along either side of the neckline, which drape along each side of the yokes. The fitted waistline, is accented by a small pleated and gathered peplum hemline along the front, which turns into a simple un-pleated hemline along the back. Finished with a central zip fastening along the centre front of the blouse.

Closures: This blouse fastens along the front with a 10.5 inch metal zip and a concealed press stud.
Condition: This Blouse is in good but not perfect vintage condition. This blouse appears to have once been a dress and has at some point been shortened. The zip fastening does not come apart at the hemline, which requires putting the blouse on above ones' head. There are areas of paint impressions to the blouse where the green paint has left impressions marks, these are scattered along the front of the blouse, sleeves and hemline. Some areas of gentle fading to the painted details. Natural and light surface scratches to the silk throughout. These elements are not overly apparent when the blouse is being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
