Rendered in the most incredible brocade, depicting mountain ranges, pagodas, rivers and trees, in a palette of gold lurex set against a background of cream and champagne , this original 1950's jacket is the perfect statement piece for your vintage collection.
The high rounded mandarin style collar, is edged with cream piping and draws together centrally with a hook and eye. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves. The elegant straight line cut of the jacket, boasts decorative cream rayon frog buttons along either side of the front of the neckline, which draw the eye to the edge to edge cut. Finished with pockets along either side of the front of the jacket at waist height and small side slits along each side seam. This jacket is lined in cream rayon.

Fastenings: a single hook and eye
Condition: This jacket is in near perfect vintage condition. A few very small and light scattered age marks along the rayon lining. Light and gentle yellowing to the piped edges of the collar . Gentle discolouration along the top of the shoulders, this appears ever so slightly darker. Gentle thread wear to the decorative frog features. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
