This truly mesmerising late 1930's cream wool coat, accented by a timeless herringbone weave and embellished with gold leather leaf appliqués, is a rare piece to behold.
The elegant V shaped shawl neckline, is framed along either side by trailing gold leather leaf appliqués, which sit along each yoke and descend in a V shape towards the fitted waistline. The shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, which accent the full length inset sleeves, edged with gold leather leaf appliqués along each cuff. The fitted line of the bodice, boasts Princess seams, which run from the edge of each shoulder line along the length of the coat. The fitted waistline, draws in internally with rayon ties and externally with a matching wool covered button. The panelled cut of the coat, accents the gentle flair of the skirt-line, completing this piece in an iconic and timeless late 1930's silhouette. This car has pockets along each side seam and is fully line in cream rayon.

Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition. There are a few small and gentle darns to the wool, these have been done in matching wool and are sympathetic. These are only apparent under very close inspection. A small age mark along the left hand side of the skirt-line. Gentle colour variation to the cream wool externally, this is due to prolonged time in storage and is only apparent under very close inspection. A pin sized age mark along the internal rayon lining to the back of the coat. These minor issues are not apparent when the coat is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.
