The cinched in waistline, is accented by a matching taffeta silk covered belt, which sets off the gathered pleats that radiate from the waist seam into the ballerina length of the skirt.
The matching taffeta silk jacket, sits perfectly above the dress and boasts a pointed collar contouring a rounded neckline. The elegant slopped shoulder line sets off the 3/4 length dolman cut sleeves, which frame the fitted cut of the jacket. The central matching silk taffeta covered buttons, draw the jacket in, whilst setting off the cinched in waistline. Closures: This dress fastens along the side seam with an 11.5 inch metal zip. The jacket fastens with 8 buttons.
Condition: This dress is in good vintage condition. There is a small pin hole along the right hand side of the collar to the jacket. A small pin hole along the back left hand side of the shoulder line. Some very light yellowing and colour variation along the neckline of the dress. A small and light mark along the front left hand side of the neckline along the dress. A small seam mend along the right hand side seam just before the zip. A small pin hole along the back of the bodice of the dress just above the waistline. Four small scattered holes along the back of the skirt at midway height ( these are entirely concealed by the pleated drape of the taffeta silk ) Gentle wear and fraying to the taffeta silk belt buckle. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the product description.
