This iconic 1950's shirt-waister dress, rendered in the softest shade of pale blue cotton, with wonderful cream printed, and embroidered details, is the perfect piece to add to your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a pointed notched collar. The simple shoulder line, set off the short length sleeves, which are finished with wide turned up cuffs. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts and central matching fabric button fastenings. The bodice is decorated with cream printed columns, which are in turn embellished with trailing printed floral designs, contoured by soutache embroidery and set off by floral appliqués arrangements, which are finished with clusters of enamelled metal beadwork. The cinched in waistline, which is accented by a matching fabric belt, sets off the wonderful cut of the skirt, which radiates from box pleats from beneath the waistline. Finished with a pocket along the left hand side hipline, every detail of this dress, showcases the iconic 1950's New Look silhouette of the era.

Closures: This dress fastens with 4 buttons and a hook and eye along the front of the bodice and a press stud below the waistline .
Condition: This dress is good but not vintage condition. There is some light colour variation along the top of the shoulders and along the back of the collar. Very light and gentle colour variation along the matching belt. Some light scattered age marks along the back of the skirt, these are well concealed within the pleats and not apparent when the dress is being worn. Gentle age marks along the front of the skirt, again these are very light and well concealed within the pleats and drape of the dress. Gentle wear to some of the enamel paint along the floral clusters on the bodice. These minor blemishes are in not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable under close inspection.
