Rendered in the warmest shades of blush and terracotta, surrounded by a cream and pale yellow background, this original 1930's silk chiffon dress, in a seasonal floral pattern, is the perfect piece for your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline is edged with a rolled piped edge, which sets off the elegant twisted pleat design along the front of the décolletage. The simple shoulder line, sets off the fluted cut of the sleeves, which are sewn along each shoulder and boast open designs along the base of the armholes, creating a fluttered design which flares elegantly when the dress is worn. The fitted bodice, is accented by the pleated bust-line which radiates from the twisted central feature. The bodice is accented by a central pointed seam which radiates from beneath the décolletage, setting off the bias cut which skims the silhouette along the waistline down to the hemline. Finished with a full circle cut along the hemline, this truly mesmerising bias cut piece, showcases the iconic design and silhouette of the era.
This dress is sheer and may need to be worn with a slip to conceal ones' modesty.

Fastenings: This dress has no fastenings and is cut along the bias.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A very small and sympathetic darn along the right hand side of the bodice next to the radiating seam at waistline height. A small age mark along the front right hand side of the hipline, this seems to blend in perfectly with the colour palette and is only noticeable upon close inspection. .A darker age mark along the centre back of the skirt line along the pleated drape of the hemline, this too blends in well with the floral pattern and is only apparent upon close inspection. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn as they are well concealed within the drape and design of the dress.
