This divine 1910's Edwardian lawn cotton blouse, with detailed embroidery is a rare piece to behold.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a pointed collar, which is edged with decorative cotton floral lace, in an intricate scalloped design, surrounding the delicate embroidery and cut away details of the base of the collar. The simple shoulder line is accented by 4 darts along either side of the yokes, in a decorative seam design. The full length inset sleeves, are edged with turned up cuffs, which draw in along the back with 3 small pearlescent buttons, finished with elegant floral scalloped cotton lace. The simple silhouette of the blouse, is accented by a decorative triangular bib feature along the centre front, which frames the pearlescent button fastenings. The bib feature is edged with cotton floral lace, which boasts scalloped edges, framing the delicate embroidery and cut away designs of the base of the bib. The back of the blouse boasts a central cotton ribbon feature, below which the cotton of the blouse is gathered in soft pleats, accenting the waistline. This blouse is rendered in fine cotton lawn and is sheer.

Condition: In good but not perfect vintage condition. A very small age marks along the bottom right hand side front of the blouse above the hemline. A very faint water marks along the right hand side of the front of the blouse along the hemline. A small pin hole along the external side of the left hand side sleeve. A gentle water mark along the back of the right hand side sleeve. A small pin hole along the front right hand side of the blouse along the waistline area. A small pin hole along the back of the blouse to the hemline. A few small concealed holes to the cotton concealed within the pleats along the back of the blouse. These minor details are in no way apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only apparent under very close inspection.
