This truly magnificent 1930's navy blue wool coat, with detailed raised Art Deco seam designs, is a masterpiece of its time.
The mandarin styled collar draws together along the front of the neckline beneath a large navy blue button fastening. The simple shoulder line is accented by chevron designed seams that radiate along the yokes, shoulder blades and the top of each sleeve. The full length sleeves are accented by parallel raised seams. The wide A line cut of the coat is set off by parallel raised seams to match those along the sleeves, framing the large central button and loop fastening. Finished with pockets to either side of the hipline and lined in rayon, every detail of this coat showcases the intricacy of the craftsmanship of the era.
