This wonderful 1930's crimson red velvet and black crepe blossom is just the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline is framed by crimson red velvet, which contours the décolletage in elegant pleats, which drape from smocking stitches along each shoulder line. The velvet panels join each other centrally along the bust-line in sewn pleats, which radiate along the bust, setting off the elegant matching velvet side panels which contour either side of the bodice to join each side seam.The simple shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length inset sleeves which are accented by pleats along each shoulder seam and internally sewn shoulder pads, for added structure along the shoulder line. The fitted bodice, sets off the elegant line of the blouse, which is finished with a simple crepe silk belt along the back, which fastens which concealed hook and eyes.

Condition: This blouse is in good but not perfect vintage condition. There are two small darns to the red velvet along the left hand side of the bust-line, these are well concealed within the drape and pleats of the velvet. Natural and light impression marks to the velvet Two small darns to the crepe silk along the left hand side of the bodice near the side seam. Light and natural wear to the crepe silk along the left hand side armpit. Two small darns to the crepe silk along the right hand side armpit and signs of light wear to the crepe silk in the area. A darn along the back of the right hand side cuff. These minor repairs have been done sympathetically and are not noticeable when the blouse is being worn. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition.
