This beautifully tailored 1940's cream wool jacket, embellished with claw set rhinestones and pearl bead accents in a decorative scattered design, is the perfect piece to welcome to your seasonal wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a stand away notched mandarin style collar, which is edged with cream satin rayon piping. The slopping shoulder line, boasts internally sewn shoulder pads, which accents the dolman cut sleeves that taper down to turned up cuffs, which are in turn edged with cream rayon satin. The fitted waistline of the jacket, is accented by tailored darts that run from beneath either side of the bust to the pointed hemlines. The hemline is decorated with a pattern of scattered silver claw set rhinestones and pearlescent beads, with pearl beaded droplet accents, setting on the single button fastening. The side seams of the jacket are set off by delicate fold over vents, which draw the eye to the tailored darts along the backline, which accent the hourglass silhouette, whilst showcasing the iconic design style of the era. This jacket is lined along the bodice but not the sleeves.

Condition: This jacket is in good but not perfect vintage condition. A pin sized darn along the front of the left hand side cuff. Gentle wear to the rayon satin piping along the edges of the cuffs and hemline of the jacket. A small pin sized age mark along the front of the left hand side yoke. A pin sized age mark along the front of the left hand side of the jacket next to the rayon satin piped edge at bust-line height.A small pin sized age mark along the front of the right hand side of the jacket near one of the bust-darts. Four small pin sized holes along the internal lining towards the back of the neckline. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection.
