"Cream Silk Bow" Vintage 1960's Cream Silk Bow Back Gown UK 6 US 2

This timeless and elegant 1960's cream silk dress, rendered in an iconic design, is sure to be a favourite in your vintage collection. 

The soft bateau neckline is framed by medium width shoulder straps, which set off the sleeveless cut. The elegant bodice, is accented by tailored darts along the bust-line, which draw the eye to the cinched in waist panel detail. The back of the bodice showcases a lowered square back-line, which draws in centrally with a hook and eye, above a zip fastening. The fitted waist-panel draws in along the back of the bodice and is decorated with a wide double tiered half bow along the right hand side. The timeless cut of the dress, boasts single pleats along either side of the front of the waistband, which drape along the length of the dress, setting off the A-line silhouette, completed with an internal tulle lining for added structure. This dress is fully lined in in silk organza and tulle along the skirt, and rayon along the bodice.

Closures: This dress fastens along the back with a hook and eye and an 11.5 inch plastic zip. 

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. With two small pin sized age marks along the right hand side of the skirt-line around 16 inches down from the waistline. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. 

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned
