This once in a lifetime couture bolero by Anthony Blotta, dated 1954 by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, which showcases the identical piece, is a breathtaking piece to behold, in a cashmere fleece and lined in silk.
The open cut neckline rounds along each edge, joining a curved hemline that gathers in a wide blouson cut along the back. The dolman cut sleeves boast fitted forearms, contrasting the wonderfully wide cut along the back of the jacket. Embellished in gold and metal cord soutache in a floral design, which is then in turn embellished with claw set silver rhinestone and simulation pearls. This magnificent bolero, showcases the incredible work of Anthony Blotta.
