Rendered in the most sumptuous shade of bitter chocolate brown crepe silk, and embellished with trailing silk thread soutache embroidery, accented by bronze glass beadwork in a trailing foliage pattern, this original 1940's jacket is the perfect piece to add to your seasonal collection.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a notched pointed collar, embellished with detailed embroidery. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves. The elegant line of the jacket, is accented by a small inverted pleat along each yoke which create a soft pleat along the bust-line. The central matching crepe silk covered button fastenings, draw the eye to the waistline, which boasts gathered pleats along either side of the front of the jacket, accenting the waistline. The elegant longline of the jacket, is decorated with trailing soutache embroidery and beadwork along either side of the front of the hemline. Finished with tailored darts along the back of the jacket. This jacket is unlined

Condition: This jacket is in near perfect condition. An area of light colour variation to the crepe silk along the top of the shoulders and external sides of the sleeves. This is minor and only apparent in certain lights. Gentle wear to the silk along the central button fastening. These minor details are not apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
