Rendered in the most sumptuous black faille silk, this original 1940's dress, accented by braided button details, is the perfect addition to your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a rounded point turned down collar. The simple shoulder line, is accented by tailored seams along each yoke which set off the open pockets along either side of the top of the bust-line. The full length inset sleeves, are finished with open vents along each internal side, which allow for the cuffs to be worn folded up or worn unfolded. The fitted bodice, is accented by Princess seams which run along either side of the front of the dress, framing rhetorical decorative braided button and loop fastenings. The fitted waistline, is set off by a matching faille silk belt, which allows for the dress to be cinched in. Finished with a panelled cut skirt-line, which boasts a central invert pleat along the back, every detail of this piece showcases the iconic silhouette of the era.

Closures: This dress fastens with 7 button and loops and a concealed hook and loop along the waistline.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, A small darn along the back of the right hand side cuff area near the vent. This is not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable under inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
